Even if it was sold people would argue that it’s just a Cadillac and that they could get a Mercedes or Bentley for the same price. Fucking badge whores.

even if.... still a GM. Same company that contributed to financial crisis of 2008 and manufactured boat load of faulty ignition switches and produced polished turds forever.

0/10. would not buy.

It is a Cadillac. But it is Cadillac doing what it does best. Building a big, luxurious, and sexy personal luxury car.

It couldn’t have hurt if they had just built it without giving a damn about others.

I don’t even mind them. My great-grandfather bought a new one of these every year back in the 80s.

Great example of how they have talent on the [design] bench but don’t know what the market wants and can’t compete with others in class. For a truck I have a Ford, for car an Audi, for bike BMW. There’s nothing in the GM lineup that appeals and this sucker was a work of art. Shame.

In what way did GM contribute to the housing bubble in 2008 that caused the housing crisis?

If they were that unreliable, why did he buy new ones every year. It’s not like these things changed much between 1977 and 1992.

Such a shame. I love the CT6, but they should have produced this as well.

And kept the damn name!

GM’s press photos are known to make cars look terrible... try these ones.

http://jalopnik.com/the-2016-cadil…

It’s properly Mafioso in Black, has all the presence and grandeur, something like Al Capone would be chauffeured around in, heavily armoured.

Yea they look good IRL. Because of metro Detroit the new mustang bored me after a month but I still look at every CT6 I see.

Yeah.... The Brown car doesn’t have faulty ignition - you tested it plenty. It was built before the financial crisis and as you can tell by your B pillar, it is a polished turd. HOWEVER, all depreciation has already come out of it. Now is the time I swoop in and love the brown car till it’s gone forever

I said financial crisis. GM with their GMAC inc lending financed cars with no credit and no money down and all sorts of too good to be true crap... all so they can re-package the loans and sell them as tripple A rated bonds. This is part of the reason they renamed their bank to Ally Financial

I’m well aware you said financial crisis. However what GM did had little to nothing to do with the 2008 financial crisis which was driven almost entirely by the housing bubble crash. The repackaged loans that were sold and caused the global financial meltdown were almost all mortgages.

Automotive financing was a drop in the bucket and had almost no effect on what happened in 2008 was it was driven nearly entirely by mortgages. It’s possible that GMAC’s real estate division might have had a hand in the 2008 crash, but I don’t know enough if it did or not. The automotive though? Yeah, it wasn’t responsible for shit; mortgages are what crashed the economy, not automotive financing.

The auto industry didn’t contribute to the financial crisis, they suffered from it. You’re thinking of Bank of America and Washington Mutual.

GM should sell everything they own and build them.
